On the generation of electromagnetic waves in the terahertz frequency range

► We propose a scheme of a generator of radio waves in the terahertz range. ► This scheme includes a corrugated dielectric plate, which can act as an open waveguide. ► A strip electron beam is in vacuum near the dielectric corrugated surface. ► Generation is achieved by converting electronsʼ energy into electromagnetic energy. ► The waveguide wave extends perpendicularly to electron motion.
