Radiocarbon analysis of methane emitted from the surface of a raised peat bog

► We present a method for radiocarbon analysis of peatland methane emissions. ► We verified the method using laboratory standards. ► Methane emitted from the surface of a temperate raised peat bog has been analysed. ► The age of the emitted methane ranged between 195 and 1399 years BP.
