Egyptian horned viper Cerastes cerastes venom hyaluronidase: Purification, partial characterization and evidence for its action as a spreading factor

► Hyaluronidase enzyme (CcHaseII) was purified from the dangerous Egyptian horned viper Cerastes cerastes. ► CcHaseII biochemical properties was investigated. ► The spreading property of the enzyme was confirmed. ► These studies could be potentially useful for production of more efficient antisera for management of viper envenomation.
