The second eigenfunction of the pp-Laplacian on the disk is not radial

In this paper, we prove that the second eigenfunction of the pp-Laplacian, p>1p>1, on the disk is not radial. Our proof is a combination of asymptotic analysis for p→+∞p→+∞ and the application of interval arithmetic.
