Arhgap21 effects in hematopoiesis. Arhgap21+/â mice have an increased frequency of HSPC pool (including LT-HSC, ST-HSC and MPP) along with a decrease in Linâ Sca+ cKit+ cell frequency during serial bone marrow transplantation. The defective adhesion of HSPC cells from Arhgap21+/â mice led to increased mobilization of these cells. Arhgap21+/â progenitor cells showed increased megakaryocytic over erythroid commitment. Red ticker lines indicate increased process: HSPC and myeloid mobilization, megakaryocytic commitment. Blue thinner lines indicate impaired process: HSPC self-renew and erythroid commitment. Gray lines: not evaluated in this work. LT-HSC: long-term hematopoietic stem cell, ST-HSC: short-term hematopoietic stem cell, MPP: multipotent progenitor, CLP: common lymphoid progenitor, CMP: common myeloid progenitor, GMP: granulocyte monocyte progenitor, MEP: megakaryocyte erythroid progenitor, MkP: megakaryocyte progenitor and ErP: erythroid progenitor.60
