Non-extinction and critical exponent for a polytropic filtration equation

This paper is concerned with the homogeneous Dirichlet boundary value problem of a polytropic filtration equation with reaction sources. We will show the non-extinction property of non-trivial solutions and determine the critical Fujita exponent for the problem.
