On semilinear elliptic problems involving critical exponents

In this paper we study Brezis–Nirenberg type results for radial solutions of a semilinear elliptic equation of the form {−Δu=λC(|x|)u+B(|x|)|u|q−2u,a.e.x∈BR(0)⊂RN,R>0,u=0,on ∂BR(0) where λ∈Rλ∈R, q≥2q≥2, and the weights B,C are appropriate positive measurable radially symmetric functions.
