Dose response of micronuclei induced by combination radiation of α-particles and γ-rays in human lymphoblast cells

► α-Particle induced MN had a biphasic dose-response followed by a bystander model. ► MN dose-response of α- and γ-combination IR was similar to that of α-particle. ► α-Particles followed by γ-rays yielded a synergistic effect on MN induction. ► Low dose γ-rays triggered antagonistic and adaptive responses against α-particle.
