Assessment of the nutritional and metabolic profile of women with breast cancer and its association with metabolic syndrome

- High prevalence of excess weight (53,3% and 70,2%) among adult and elderly women with breast cancer.
- Metabolic Syndrome was detected in 34.3% (WHO), 62.7% (IDF) and 53.7% (53.7%).
- IDF seemed to be the most appropriate criteria to define Metabolic Syndrome in this study.
