چکیده انگلیسی
The sessile existence of plants imposes on them an acclimation to changing environment. Responses to these changes need the elaborate mechanisms including the redox state regulation. Redox regulation via ascorbate-glutathione (AsA-GSH) pathway is appearing as a key player in these mechanisms. Since nematode infection is known to induce oxidative stress, the hypothesis that the AsA-GSH pathway ensures a fine-tuning of infected plants to stress has been considered. Review shows how the activity of enzymes involved in the AsA-GSH pathway changes upon infection and evidences for the importance of AsA-GSH pathway in immunity against nematode invasion were provided.
