Orthogonal bases of 3-B-spline and its' application in bending problem of plate and beam system

Series of orthogonal bases of 3-B-spline segments in a periodic zone is constructed. The orthogonal bases of 3-B-spline segments are continuously differential up to order 2 and orthogonal to each other as trigonometric function. The orthogonal bases are applied to deal bending problem of beam and plate system. Because the bases are orthogonal to each other, some example is presented the calculation is great reduced.
