Criteria of bogie performance and wheel/rail wear prediction based on wayside measurements

Ten indicators of bogie and wheelset performance having physical meaning are suggested with the aim to detect “suspected” cars, in particular wheelsets which are causing excessive wheel flange wear. Prospects of usage of suggested indicators are discussed.
