Modelling of the clamping mark formation in manufacturing processes with extremely high axial forces
چکیده انگلیسی
When extremely high axial forces need to be safely controlled by workpiece clamping, surface damage (clamping marks) is often inevitable. In order to minimize this damage, it is necessary to choose a jaw teeth design of the clamping surface ensuring a maximum force take-up for minimum possible damage. For this reason, a model using the slip-line theory has been developed whereby the indentation parameters (wedge angle, symmetrical proportion) were systematically diversified. The results determined on the basis of several examples using FEM simulations matched those obtained by the slip-line theory. Based on the results of the simulation a prototype has been built.
