Stress and strain potentials for mode I and mode II cracks

The stress and strain potentials are given for the mode I and the mode II crack in an elastic, isotropic elastic solid in plane strain in a relatively simple closed form using cylindrical coordinates centered at the center of the crack. The potentials are developed from those of the mode III crack.
