Analysis of the Intra-Industry Trade for the Motor Vehicle Parts and Accessories Sector from Romania

This paper examines the determinants of intra-industry trade (IIT) inthe motor vehicle parts and accessories sector from Romania. Trade in this sectorbetween Romania and 13EU countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, CzechRepublic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia and Spain)was examined. These countries were chosen taking into consideration theIIT volume with Romania. Through econometric computationsfor the period 1995–2012, the determinants of the dependent variable (IIT) are underlined.
