National Strategy of Immigration: Between Proposed Objectives and their Accomplishment

As member state of the European Union, Romania is at the same time host-state and origin-state for the migratory population. The present economic, social and legal context demands that Romania adapts to both the requirements of the European Union in terms of the economic and social necessities but also to the existing demographic ones, in the context of an unstable Europe. Romania has set in its National Strategy regarding Immigration strategic and specific objective with economic relevance. The paper presents these strategic and specific objectives and the degree of fulfillment.
