Study on the Influence of Regionalization on Economy in the Central Region of Romania

In a time in witch the sovereign state fells threatened by the globalization process, the act of regionalization, which is basically atomization, begins to be more than an option considering the need to keep the national identity not threatened. Regionalization is the tendency to form decentralized regions, which presumes the division of the national state into self governing regions. A region is basically a sub-unit of the state witch is concerned to develop itself. Considering that this phenomenon is gaining more and more significance, this study came from the need to get in contact with the business people to create wide image concerning the way they see this phenomenon. This study was made by applying a questionnaire to the business people in the Central Region of Romania, in order to try to gain relevant information regarding this process. This study was focused on the economical side of regionalization, by trying to determine the effects it will have on the economy of this region.
