The Requirement of New Industrial Policy to Support Polish Economy

Recently conducted public economic debates take increasingly demand to implement a new industrial policy for the economies development after the global crisis. The article takes the indicated topics presenting the genesis of the current interest in industrial policy. The analysis of economic indicators based on the results achieved by the European Union industry and in case of individual EU countries confirms the need for the application of the new industrial policy objectives, in order to increase the competitiveness of EU industry on the global economy background. Poland also has to adapt its industrial policy to these statements. Poland should focus on high-tech industry development, because then it will be able to successfully compete on the international arena and increase pace of economic growth.
