Intravaginal misoprostol versus Foley catheter for cervical ripening and induction of labor

A single 100 μg dose of intravaginal misoprostol is more efficacious than intracervical insertion of Foley catheter for cervical ripening and induction of labor. Further studies using lower doses are needed to determine the safest dose.
