Elevated AIAT levels, in connection with strong association with duration of obesity, constitutes an important marker of glucose metabolism disorders and higher risk of arterial hypertension in obese children. Elevated AIAT coexisted with insulin resistance in boys constitutes significant predictor of faster development of glucose metabolism disorders.
