Hereditary thrombophilia is a well known thrombotic risk factor in children. The disease manifests itself heterogenically; it can vary from being asymptomatic to causing severe embolism. The authors present a case of recurrent brain stroke complicated by pulmonary and peripheral vein thromboembolism in a 7-year-old-child with a homozygous form of Leiden mutation.
