Uogólniona postać choroby kociego pazura ze zmianami ogniskowymi w śledzionie - opis przypadku

A 10-year-old girl with disseminated cat scratch disease involving spleen and right-sided axillar lymph nodes is reported. A previously healthy girl was referred to hospital because of a 14-day history with recurrent fever up to 40°C and enlarged right-sided axillaries lymph nodes. The girl has sustained a scratch from a kitten 7 days before onset of illness. An ultrasound of the abdomen showed multiple small hypoechoic lesions in the moderately enlarged spleen. Biopsy specimens were obtained from the lesions of the right-sided axillaries lymph nodes and Warthin-Starry staining of biopsy specimens was done and showed argyrophilic pleomorphic bacilli characteristic of cat scratch disease.
