Histologic findings after mechanochemical ablation in a caprine model with use of ClariVein

This animal study shows that the combination of mechanical and chemical ablation performed by the ClariVein device results in occlusion of the normal caprine lateral saphenous vein, whereas mechanical trauma or sclerosant alone does not. This study along with the histology is essential in helping us understand how this technique works in human incompetent saphenous veins.
