Intramolecular selective hydrogenation of cinnamaldehyde over CeO2-ZrO2-supported Pt catalysts

► CeO2-ZrO2-supported Pt catalysts for selective hydrogenation of cinnamaldehyde. ► Highly efficient catalysts even at 25 °C. ► High conversion of cinnamaldehyde (95.8%) and selectivity of cinnamyl alcohol (93.4%). ► Superior to most of the known supported Pt catalysts for this reaction.
