Gene selection and sample classification on microarray data based on adaptive genetic algorithm/k-nearest neighbor method

► We constructed the AGA/KNN method for evolving efficiently gene subsets. ► For the objective of reduce the dimension of microarray data, AGA/KNN can be a useful tool. ► For binary or several categories data sets, the categories can be classified correctly by AGA/KNN. ► The accuracy and the efficiency of AGA/KNN are better than that of GA/KNN.
