Two learning approaches for a rule-based intuitive reasoner

► This study is associated with a forward-chained, rule-based prediction algorithm. ► We test two heuristics that improve the classification accuracy of predictions. ► Predictions using variables relevant to the target variable result in higher accuracy. ► Accuracy is also improved by adjusting rules' weight to offset class imbalance.
