Towards robust and effective shape modeling: Sparse shape composition

► Adaptive Shape Composition (ASC) is proposed to model shapes and implicitly incorporate the shape prior constraint effectively. ► It is based on sparse representation and is able to handle non-Gaussian errors, model multimodal distribution of shapes and recover local details. ► The problem is efficiently solved by an EM type of framework and an efficient convex optimization algorithm.
