Filtering and segmentation of 3D angiographic data: Advances based on mathematical morphology

► Recent advances in mathematical morphology are involved in 3D vessel analysis. ► A hybrid Hessian/mathematical morphology technique is proposed for vessel filtering. ► An interactive vessel segmentation method based on component-trees is proposed. ► These two techniques are validated on synthetic and real 3D MRI data.
