Class-specific weighting for Markov random field estimation: Application to medical image segmentation

► We introduce estimation criteria for adjusting the performance of MRF-based classifiers. ► We implement these criteria adapting existing MRF algorithms (e.g. iterated conditional modes). ► We integrate the implementations into three classification systems for medical image analysis.
