On stop conditions about methods to obtain polygonal approximations relied on break point suppression

► In this work a new stop condition for the Carmona et al. method (2010a), and Masood methods (2008a, 2008b) is proposed. ► This new stop condition can be used to improve these methods, or any other method based on break point suppression. ► This idea can be used to transform supervised optimal methods into unsupervised methods.
