A generalized model of partial resale

► This paper extends the study on profitable partial resale model in two directions. ► We show that arbitrage activities do not reduce, but may increase the seller's profit in partial resale mechanisms. ► We propose two new partial resale mechanisms which are different to the one with time-restricted resale market. ► The three partial resale mechanisms lead to different firm pricing strategies and consumer purchase behaviors, but result in the same seller profit.
