Fabrication of Fe3O4/SiO2 core/shell nanoparticles attached to graphene oxide and its use as an adsorbent

► Nanoparticles were developed by immobilizing Fe3O4@SiO2 on graphene oxide. ► Adsorption properties toward methylene blue in aqueous solution were investigated. ► The maximum adsorption capacities were found to be 111.1 mg/g at 60 °C.
