Photochromism-based detection of volatile organic compounds by W-doped TiO2 nanofibers

► W-doped TiO2 nanofibers were prepared by electrospinning techniques. ► The fibers formed a mat after calculation with diameters of 0.2-0.4 μm. ► Nanofibers showed good photocatalytic activities toward VOCs. ► Photochromism provides a good way in detection of pollutants in indoor air.
