Microwave synthesis of BiPO4 nanostructures and their morphology-dependent photocatalytic performances

► BiPO4 nanomaterials were prepared by a facile microwave irradiation method. ► Various BiPO4 nanostructures were fabricated in different solvents. ► Different BiPO4 nanostructures exhibited different photocatalytic activities. ► A possible formation mechanism of BiPO4 was discussed.
