Purification of firefighting water containing a fluorinated surfactant by reverse osmosis coupled to electrocoagulation-filtration

▶ Turbidity of firefighting water from heptane fire extinguishing can be efficiently removed by electrocoagulation. ▶ Fluorinated surfactant concentration reduction after electrocoagulation was >70%. ▶ Retention rate of the fluorinated surfactant was >99.9% by reverse osmosis.
