Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate)-functionalised multi-walled carbon nanotubes/chitosan green nanocomposite membranes and their application in pervaporation

▶ Incorporation of MWCNTs into chitosan matrix to form green nanocomposite membrane. ▶ The presence of PHB increases the compatibility of MWCNTs in chitosan matrix. ▶ Bulk alignment reduced the amount of MWCNTs required to meet desired properties. ▶ Green nanocomposite membrane shows high permeation and selectivity toward water.
