Selective naked-eye detection of Magnesium (II) ions using a coumarin-derived fluorescent probe

- Chemosensor is selective for Mg2+ in the presence of alkali and alkaline earth metal ions.
- It showed a good binding constant and lowest detection limit.
- Exhibited reversible CHEF emission signals with Mg2+.
- CS-Mg2+ complexation was confirmed by DPV and 1H NMR spectroscopic techniques.
