Towards a post-traumatic subtype of obsessive-compulsive disorder

► Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is frequently found among patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). ► Several phenotypic features differentiate patients with post- and pre-traumatic OCD. ► Post-traumatic OCD may constitute a subtype of OCD that deserves to be further investigated.
