Insight in obsessive-compulsive disorder: A comparative study of insight measures in an Israeli clinical sample

► There was a high correspondence between all OCD insight measures with the exception of the BCIS. ► Despite this high correspondence, the correlations of insight measures with demographic and clinical variables were distinctive and in some cases measure-specific. ► Medicated participants showed higher insight levels on most insight measures compared to non-medicated participants. ► Insight levels did not correlate with OCD symptom severity. ► The results do not support considering low-insight OCD patients as a separate diagnostic category or as a severe form of OCD.
