It's a question? Infants attend differently to yes/no questions and declaratives

▶ We examined infants' perception of question versus declarative intonation. ▶ Stimuli used were English yes-no questions and declarative sentences. ▶ Infants habituated to questions and infants habituated to declaratives preferred the question forms at test. ▶ The results suggest that infants process these two sentence types differently.
