Disinhibited behaviors in young children: Relations with impulsivity and autonomic psychophysiology

► Reactivity in PEP to a stranger differentiated behaviorally uninhibited and inhibited children. ► Like in adults, externalizing and behavioral impulsivity were related to a reward-dominant response style. ► Further, behavioral impulsivity was related to low sympathetic activity at rest. ► This study shows that disinhibited behaviors can be identified early.
