► We examine the effects of alcohol intoxication (BAC = .075) on attentional control. ► Attentional measures were change blindness and working memory tasks. ► Intoxicated individuals had impaired working memory capacity compared to sober. ► Intoxicated individuals detected as many changes as sober, but did so faster.
