Religious change of new immigrants in the Netherlands: The event of migration

► I study the effect of migration on the religiosity of immigrants in Holland. ► On average, frequency of religious attendance and praying decline after migrating. ► Around 40% participate less often than before migrating. ► Frequency of praying dropped among 17%. ► Larger and well-established immigrant groups show more religious continuity.
