The development of a natural gas transportation logistics management system

► We present a DSS to help the decision on investments on spare compressor units of pipelines systems. ► The system may be applied to new or existing projects. ► The system is able to estimate the revenue losses and the contractual penalties. ► An economical evaluation shows the NPV for each configuration of spare units. ► The method was applied to the case study of the Bolivia-Brazil gas pipeline.
