► VoLL differs by sector and is highest in the residential sector in both ROI and NI. ► VoLL differs substantially by time of day, week and year. ► The value of a lost hour of electricity is driven by electricity demand in that hour. ► The peak VoLL and peak electricity demand do not occur simultaneously. ► VoLL in ROI is currently higher than the Regulator assumes it to be.
