Adhesion properties of inverted polymer solarcells: Processing and film structure parameters

► The interfacial adhesion in spin, spray and slot-die coated OPV's is quantified and studied. ► The adhesion between the BHJ and the PEDOT:PSS HTL was insensitive to the HTL layer thickness. ► The power of the O2 plasma treatment has an enhancing effect on the adhesion. ► Thermally evaporated MoO3 HTLs poorly adhere to the P3HT:PCBM layer. ► Guidelines to improve the fracture properties of OPV's is provided.
