Interplay of geometric and electronic structure in thin films of diindenoperylene on Ag(1Â 1Â 1)

► We investigated three different bulk molecular arrangements of DIP on Ag(1 1 1). ► Film growth heavily depends on substrate temperature during deposition. ► Clear connection between changes in (SPA)LEED to (I)PES data visible. ► Versatile structure of system allows studying effect of molecular arrangement on measured electronic structure.
