Carbazole/oligocarbazoles substituted silanes as wide bandgap host materials for solution-processable electrophosphorescent devices

► A series of organic wide bandgap tetraphenyl silane materials are designed and synthesized. ► All these materials show excellent solution-processibility and good thermal stability. ► They are suitable as hosts for phosphorescent dye FIrpic. ► High performance solution-processed blue OLEDs are achieved.
