Avoiding trap states in poly(n-vinylcarbazole) thin films

► PVK films were studied under excitation at CW and at pulsed lasers. ► PVK deep blue emission quenching due to the existence of aggregate trap states. ► Trap states in PVK films are avoided at pulsed laser excitation. ► White emission in PODT/PVK bilayer induced by exciton energy transfer.
