Solution processed WO3 layer for the replacement of PEDOT:PSS layer in organic photovoltaic cells

► Solution-processed WO3 hole extraction layer was developed. ► ITO/WO3/P3HT:PCBM/Al type cell showed the power conversion efficiency of 3.4%. ► The WO3 inter-layer significantly enhanced polymer solar cell stability.
